JURASSIC SOLAR+

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Jurassic Solar+ began development in early 2021. The Project includes approximately 1,170 acres of land located approximately 2.7 km west of the Hamlet of Iddesleigh, Alberta, in Special Area No. 2 and Cypress County. The Project is located in Townships 20 and 21, Range 10, West of the Fourth Meridian, on privately owned, cultivated land. The Project area has a strong solar resource, characteristic of Alberta, and will generate clean energy over its 35+ year lifetime.

The Project will be 220 MWac in size, with 80MW/160MWh of energy storage, and it is anticipated to begin construction in Q3 2023. Based on preliminary site design, the Project will involve installing approximately 486,000 solar PV modules, 71 inverter/transformer stations, a battery energy storage system, an electrical collection system, access paths, and the construction of a Project Substation to connect to the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES).
